Geoffrey H. Bruce formed TENSILE SHADE PRODUCTS in 2006 to design and manufacture pre-engineered shade structures that serve a broad range of client needs and desires. Geoffrey established his reputation for fine design within the shade industry 12 years earlier through his custom tensile structure company, G.H. BRUCE. He then identified a need for pre-engineered shade structures that would express the same fine design, mastery of craft, and legacy construction of his custom work.

Today our Tensile Shade Products grace many sites across the US and a growing number abroad. We are committed to building lasting relationships with our clients and to adding beauty and comfort to their environments. Our multi-generational team at our family-run company continues to provide the highest caliber shade structure products available, with sincere and responsive customer service.

We now present an innovative line of 13 Tensile Shade Products that consistently satisfy our clients' need for functional shade and desire for beauty and distinction. All of our products are original designs and all are exclusively available through TENSILE SHADE PRODUCTS. Our newest creation, TRILLIUM^®, is a centrally supported structure that continues our exploration and mastery of curvilinear forms, reminiscent of SUNAMI®, our first product designed by Geoffrey in 1998.
